Cyberbullying

In addition to our character education programs, Brockport Central School District is also addressing cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is a difficult problem that affects teens and their families. It is important that students who have access to social networking and electronic communications are taught the proper way to utilize these methods of communication. Schools cannot police these communications, as much of it happens at home; however, the results of cyberbullying often spill over into the instructional day and into the educational environment. Parents need to take a proactive stance with their children and their use of social networking and electronic communication.
