2000 - INTERNAL OPERATIONS

BOARD OF EDUCATION ACTIVITIES
2360 BOARD VISITATION

The purposes of Board visits are:

  1. a) To conform to Education Law Section 1708; and furthermore:
  2. b) To observe the ongoing educational activities of each school;
  3. c) To become familiar with the general working conditions within the school/department; and
  4. d) To know and become known by District personnel and students.

Recognizing that there are many opportunities for Board members, to attend functions at the school, participate as volunteers and on committees, and otherwise participate in the activities at the various school sites, these visits shall not be regulated in any manner differently for Board members than for non-Board members.
